Resumen
Objective: To characterize patients undergoing mechanical ventilation mode ( ASV ) in the adult intensive care unit of the Epworth Hospital San Rafael de Tunja in the period June 2011 - June 2012 . Materials and methods : The study has a retrospective descriptive approach quantitative , non-experimental correlated . The study group were 563 case histories of patients admitted to the adult intensive care unit of the Epworth Hospital San Rafael de Tunja during June 2011 to June 2012, of which 268 charts were included in the study and stories that are 295 patients were excluded from estudy. Results : of the study population variable has an average age of 62 years, of patients admitted to the ICU and underwent ASV mode ventilation strategy , recorded with a minimum age of 16 years and a maximum age of 97 years for patients undergoing ASV mode in the ICU. individual variables , registers an average age of 62 years, of patients admitted to the ICU and underwent ASV mode ventilation strategy , with a recorded age of 16 years and maximum age of 97 years of patients undergoing ASV mode . Intervened population requiring ventilatory support ASV mode , against lung injury accounted for 30.5 %, against 69.4 % who were treated with ventilatory protocol ASV mode , which is not related diagnoses pulmonar.De injury who underwent ventilation ASV mode mechanics established that more incident associated pathology corresponds to the surgical abdominal 58 % of the study population , brain injury is the second most recurrent pathology associated with polytrauma 25.8 % and was the third most frequent pathology associated with 16.1 % of the population intervenida. Conclusions: overall, the study shows that ASV is a ventilatory mode that can be used as both start protocol as weaning , ASV indices significantly improves oxygenation , acidosis tends to improve and adapt physiological needs of each patient.1.
