REFLEXIONES SOBRE LA PRÁCTICA, DISCIPLINA Y EDUCACIÓN SOBRE EL CUIDADO DE ENFERMERÍA BAJO LA PERSPECTIVA DE LA TEORÍA DE JEAN WATSON.

Resumen

Desde principios del siglo XX y en las últimas décadas, la enfermería no se consideraba ni una disciplina académica ni una profesión, pero se ha venido trabajando arduamente en los últimos tiempos, motivando a las nuevas generaciones a compartir el reconocimiento  de la ciencia del cuidado como una práctica digna que enaltezca el espíritu de quien cuida y de quien es cuidado.
No obstante, los avances que ha experimentado enfermería durante el último siglo fueron muy importantes para su propio desarrollo disciplinar, debido a que muchos profesionales se destacaron contribuyendo con sus trabajos, con sus ideas creativas que han quedado clavadas en la mente y en nuestros cuerpos para seguir la lucha desaforada y romper hacia los desafíos futuros de la disciplina.
Es por esta razón, se ha querido enaltecer en ésta gran oportunidad a  Jean Margaret Watson, que con sus trabajos publicados ha venido enfatizando en la trayectoria del cuidado humano de enfermería como una  forma de relación, con el otro ser,  con el mundo y como una forma de vivir plenamente, quien como muchas teóricas ha venido mostrando  la razón de ser del cuidado, como una forma trascendental de prevalecer en el corazón y la mente de aquel que se cuida.
Por otra parte, la enfermería como disciplina académica depende de la existencia de un conocimiento teórico que es necesario transmitir a los estudiantes que pretenden ejercer una profesión y que confirmará la base de su práctica (1).

ABSTRACT
Since the beginning of the twentieth century and in recent decades, nursing was
