Preeclampsia: Enfoque y Perspectiva.

Resumen

La preeclampsia es una alteraci´on hipertensiva asociada a la gestaci´on que se presenta frecuentemente y se asocia, principalmente en pa´ıses subdesarrollados, con repercusiones materno – fetales como aumento de la morbimortalidad, parto pret´ermino y restricci´on del crecimiento intrauterino. Se cree que su aparici´on se debe a anormalidades en la placentaci´on junto a una respuesta inmune inadecuada, cambios moleculares y factores de crecimiento, junto a restos placentarios que en el sistema circulatorio materno desatan una respuesta inflamatoria traducida en hipertensi´on arterial materna. Dentro de las principales mol´eculas implicadas destacan el factor de crecimiento transformante derivado de las ves´ıculas seminales 1, el papel de las c´elulas Natural Killer y citoquinas proinflamatorias y sus productos. El objetivo de esta revisi´on es el de conocer algunos factores moleculares y principios fisiopatol´ogicos implicados en el inicio y progresi´on de la preeclampsia, con el fin de tener informaci´on ´util para realizar diagn´osticos m´as tempranos de la enfermedad, que favorezcan el pron´ostico y que sean de ayuda para la investigaci´on en biotecnolog´ıa diagn´ostica y terapia m´edica.
