Abstract

Today, the most widely used way to access information globally is the internet. Due to this, mobile devices such as cell phones, tablets and computers have been adapted to implement it. To get a general idea of this phenomenon, in this article a study was carried out focused on the use of the smartphone in
the students of El Bosque University. To do this, a survey was implemented in order to characterize and yield results from statistical techniques, in undergraduate students. Among the most relevant results of this study was the high percentage of students who have observed how they use the cell phone for plagiarism in evaluative activities. In addition to this, it was also
observed that about 99% of the students use social networks and WhatsApp in their daily work. Finally, there is a discussion about the addiction that students have with cell phone use.
