Necesidades de cuidado de personas con ostomias. Revisión sistemática de literatura

Introducción: Las personas con ostomias tienen necesidades especiales de cuidado que los profesionales de enfermería deben identificar para contribuir con sus intervenciones a mejorar su calidad de vida. Objetivo: Identificar las necesidades de cuidado de personas con ostomias encontradas en la literatura científica. Materiales y Métodos: Revisión sistemática de artículos encontrados en bases de datos y elegidos mediante criterios de selección entre los años 2011 y 2016 con el protocolo Prisma. Resultados y Discusión: Se encontraron 1164, de los cuales revisaron y analizaron 51 artículos que cumplieron con los criterios de selección. Se obtuvieron ocho categorías dentro de la literatura científica que reportan necesidades primordiales, sobre las cuales las enfermeras pueden aportar, al actuar como cuidadoras empáticas que brindan educación para el autocuidado, realizar trabajo interdisciplinario y al generar adaptación de las personas con ostomias. Conclusiones: las necesidades primordiales de las personas con ostomias encierran múltiples esferas de la vida humana y deben ser atendidas desde la sociedad, los servicios de salud y las familias.
